My scale doesn't seem to be cooperating.
I am only eating around 800-1000 calories and it just stalls or creeps up.
I know I don't have a fill but it is a bit discouraging. I am seriously dieting tho and eating the smallest amount I ever have.
I can't wait for my first fill in March even though I hear it may not do a thing for me. My surgeon did state that he is aggressive with getting us to the green zone and not piddle paddling around.
With all that said: I know I need to exercise more.
I have NO idea why this is so hard. I want to. I have great intentions to do it and then I don't.
Our weather is beyond stunning. There is NO excuse for my laziness so what is going on in my head that makes me sedentary??!
I ordered: Biggest Loser for Wii, Just Dance for Wii, ChaLean Extreme videos
They are on a truck and should be delivered by Saturday.
Anyways - I am tired of beating myself up...
I just have 2 big events in April & one in May.
I have a friends wedding and will see a ton of people I have known since high school. It's going to be an uber hip, sassy and artsy wedding and I really need to look good for it.
Then a few days later, we are flying to Chicago for a big birthday party. Lots of amazing restaurants and jazz clubs. I really want to look hip and sassy for this event as well.
Then about 2 weeks after that, we are heading to New Orleans for Jazz Fest.
I have a month and a half and need to get this show on the road to get some of this booty off.
On another note - Tonight is a concert I have been waiting months for. Radiohead!
Happy Humpday Everyone!

Liquid gold from grapes
Forgive me for my non blogging ways this week.... but life got very busy and definitely got in the way.
With that said.. I need to confess, I need accountability and I need to express I now know what that mystery Bandster Hell is.
So last week I went to my post op appointment. I was down officially on the Dr's scale 23 pounds which I was happy with. He was very happy as well. However, he never even looked at my incisions. I expressed I had a major allergic reaction to the steri strips and had red welts all over me. He just smiled and told me to take benedryl and use cortisone lotion. I found it odd.
It takes me 40 minutes to drive there. I then waited in the waiting room for over an hour and a half and was seen for literally 4 minutes.
Ahem - anyway.
I feel at 100% now. I have ZERO pain. No port pain or anything. My incisions look amazing and I can also eat anything. I really wonder if he actually put the band in lol.
So last week - life was fun, hectic and social.
Wednesday - met one of my girlfriends to go shopping for a mutual friends wedding shower. We then went to dinner after. I had Beef Carpaccio (appetizer), a little bit of salad and a couple bites of eggplant and one tiny shrimp. I also had my first glass of wine since Pre-Op diet.
Thursday - I met my mom and grandmother for a girl's night and movie. We went to PF Changs and I had a few edamame, one lettuce wrap with a little chopped chicken and 2 small slices of ahi tuna. Oh and one more glass of wine.
Friday - We met up with a mutual friend for happy hour and to try a new New Orleans/Creole restaurant that just opened. Amazing food. The table ordered a few appetizers. One was a trio of crab cakes. They were thin and very small and almost zero filler. All crab and amazing. I had one. I also ordered for my dinner corn and crab chowder. I ate about a 1/4 of the bowl. Oh and then for the rest of the night, I had THREE glasses of wine.
Saturday - I woke up with an excruciating wine headache. Not fun. I downed two propel zero's, oolong tea and crystal lite and felt a lot better.
I then went to my friends wedding shower. The food was not very band friendly but I was able to eat 2 teenie tea sandwiches squares. They were about a half dollar size. I also had one endive leaf filled with feta and walnuts. I also had a few bites of fruit salad. Then the most divine lemon chiffon cake was served. I had a small to medium size piece in front of me. I ate about 4 bites and then shoved it at my friend who didn't get a piece and she finished it. I am proud that I resisted SEVERAL glasses of mimosas and had none. After the wine headache, I wasn't into it. (cough cough - until later).
Saturday night - We met more friends at an incredible Gourmet Mexican Restaurant in funky downtown Dunedin. The whole theme is Day of the Dead and religious candles everywhere. Very beautiful inside and every hour on the hour, they have a Cirque show with crazy acrobats. Pretty wild.
Zack and I shared food and I had some Ceviche and a 1/2 of a small lobster taco (without the tortilla). I had about 3 chips and salsa, 2 teaspoons of black beans and 1 plantain. Oh and 2 glasses of sangria.
Then we headed over to an Irish Pub. They only had beer which I knew I couldn't have. I ordered a hard cider just to have in front of me and had about 2 sips and didn't care that I wasted it.
Then we walked down to a martini bar and I ordered a water with lime and used some of my acai punch drink powder and pretended to have a mocktail.
Today - I promptly went and GYM shopped. This week - Back on super lite and healthy foods and zero alcohol.
I so overindulged on the liquid gold. The scale didn't go up but I know it more gluttonous than I should have been.
It teeters between a 23 and 25 pounds loss. I will officially weigh myself tomorrow and see where I stand.
I went today to: a Golds Gym (about a mile from my house), a place called Orange Theory which is amazing but is $150 a month and I think that's too damn much and then a Shapes but it's way too long of a drive to go.
I think I am settled on Golds Gym. It's not my first preference because the guys are drop dead gorgeous and I am intimidated by such adonis'. However, it was spotless, new equipment, inexpensive, a wide range of classes and so close.
I also went and bought a tennis racket and a ton of balls and am meeting two friends who want to start playing during the week nights.
Hopefully this will pull my head out of my rump and get the scale moving DOWN. I don't have a fill until March 12th so I need to do something.

Sunday Night Ramblings
Tomorrow marks my first post op appointment with my surgeon. It's my 2 week check up and I am nervous that I have lost enough since I started for my surgeon.
I also started my TOM so that just royally maddens me because I am up on the scale. Perfect timing for him to think I am not following orders. Oh yah - I'm not. Hmmm
Tomorrow we shall see :)
On another topic.....NSV's
I am happy to report that many NSV's are occurring.

- I bought a super cute dress a few weeks ago that was tight. I intentionally bought it tight because it was for Spring. I put it on today and it fit great. It was even loose up on top which means my girls are shrinking a bit. I am A-Ok with that.
- Zack told me I looked very cute and he was amazed how much I am already changing.
- I took my measurements the other day and in 4 weeks, there are 19 inches that have poofed and disappeared!! That was incredible.
- I had taken off my 100 yr old vintage cocktail heirloom ring the night before surgery and put it in my jewelry chest. For some reason, I didn't put it back on until the other day and it's now huge. I can put it on my middle finger for the first time ever.
- Lastly, Zack and I ran errands today. We went to home depot and then to the Fresh Market to grocery shop for the week. We were in the same aisle but about 20 feet apart looking at different items. A man starting chatting it up and flirting with me in front of him. The man didn't realize I was with someone. Zack was just smiling and laughing watching the man flirt like there was no tomorrow. As soon as he realized I was with him, he looked startled and walked away. Pretty fun if you ask me.
- Last but not least and if my mother is reading, I apologize in advance and please stop now but he asked, "When are you going to be ready for sex"??! Weight has definitely affected my sex life over the past few years and to hear this made me quite happy.

I heart him, I really do.
I have had my Fitbit for about 2 yrs. In the beginning I was true to it. I dedicated myself and I wore it like it was my job.
Then I gave up on me. I took it off when my flower was dying because lack of exercise and moving.
I was sad and put it in a drawer because it reminded me I was a fat failure and gave up on my healthy habits that had formed for a short while.
Fast forward a year and I decide to start my band journey. I dug thru my drawer and found it. I kissed it and apologized to it and promptly wore it for several days getting back on track and recommitting to my new life ahead.
Then one day I wore it on my black yoga pants and late that night while I was exhausted, I forgot and threw them in the dirty clothes pile which promptly went into the washing machine.
I killed it. I was beyond mad at myself and sad about it. I put it in a bag of rice for days hoping but no luck.
Fast forward to tonight. I just announced that I am going to buy a new one to Zack. He asks me, "when"? I said I don't know, now? And then I saw his face scrunch up and he yells, "NO!".
My hunny was so sweet and bought me the new Fitbit for Valentine's tomorrow. I can't wait for the UPS truck!! I feel awful I ruined his surprise but I am really happy to be able to track it all again!
I guess he really does listen to me.
